Welcome everyone to our second edition of ‘Hot Gat or Fudd Crap?’, our newest series here on TFB. If you missed our first article, this is where we look at the most obscure firearms that are actually for sale and ask the question – is this a good deal or a Fudd’s attempt at keeping it real? Each week our TFB staff will weigh in with their thoughts, but readers get the final say in the poll at the bottom of each article.
In last week’s edition our poll showed that you the readers thought that the VERY Custom Les Bear 1911 was indeed a Hot Gat.
The gun was sold shortly after to Infantrynvg11c for $2,000. Congrats to you on your new Hot Gat.
In this week’s edition, we’re looking at a highly customized Harrington & Richardson Topper LS, currently up for action on GunBroker for $400 and No Reserve.
HOT GAT or FUDD CRAP? Zombie Apocalypse Edition
Let’s see what the Staff had to say about this week’s offering:
“gwar meets john wayne, 8/10″ – James Reeves
“This Gun has killed several stepmoms. Allegedly.” – Pete
“If it took more than one shot, you weren’t using a Jakobs” – Rusty S.
“Words fail me….” -Matt M.
“My mother once told me if you can’t say anything nice don’t say anything at all.” – Benjamin F.
“Now that’s what I call a multitool!” – Hrachya H.
“When you rock your meth addiction with pride. This is your gun” – Mike R.
“I’m not sure who would get hurt worse, the operator (using the term very loosely) or the target.” – Doug E.
“The zombie bite is the better outcome” – Giorgio O.
BlackHorse52, the seller of this particular firearm, thinks he has constructed the ultimate zombie death dealer. Stating the following in the auction details:

It’s hard to catch all of that, but for just $400 you can be the owner of this heavy metal death dealer. Now we can’t confirm the trace amounts of zombie blood are real, we can confirm this shotgun is heavy metal, and I mean really heavy. The shotgun weighs in at a hefty 10lbs, so it’s not a very easy weapon to wield. Who needs speed though when you have spikes, axes, and knives at your disposal. This may be the scariest firearm multi-tool ever created.
All jokes aside, this is a real Ranger Messer Knife. It does keep with the whole “everything about this gun is dangerous” theme. Needless to say, if you bring this to your local range, your RSO may have a stroke on sight.
That massive forward knife locks back into this skull located in the handle of the shotgun. Another reminder of this builders passion for hunting zombies.
BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE! Yes, that commonly used line in late night infomercials also applies here. The owner of the said shotgun is willing to up-the-ante to throw in this knife as well.
BUT WAIT, THERE’S EVEN MORE! Yes, once again the seller of this auction has gone over the top in every way possible. Shotgun aside, you also get a knife with a backup knife inside the handle. It seems like the seller of this item has thought of everything when it came to zombie survival.
So what do you think? Would you love to fight zombies with this, or are you concerned for your own well-being just looking at it? Let us know in the comments below, and be sure to cast your vote and let us know if this custom Zombie Apocalypse shotgun is a Hot Gat or Fudd Crap:
